Fading Light - Towards Ilkeston


This is an image that I have painted before but this time I have tried to convey the feeling of early evening.

Keith, I love this painting. The colors you mix are so harmonious, but what strikes me even more is the nice rythem you've created with the distant trees, posts on the bridge, and the grass in the foreground. The taller building on the horizon is so important to the composition and that water way leads your eye under the bridge and right to it. The textures also add lots of additional splendor.
So well done!
